You can complete the Small Animal Massage Certification Program on-site in 12 months, plus you now have the option of distance learning. The course concentration is on feline and canine massage. A variety of species are discussed in class.
The faculty includes a variety of professional disciplines including: Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Licensed Massage Therapists and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners.
Course length: 200 hours—161 in-class hours at Doggone U, 39 hours in an off-campus internship
Distance course: 200 hours – 49 Hours of online classes, 112 Hours on-site at BSMT, 39 Hours Off-Campus Internship

8-Month Distance Certificate Program:
Start Date: April 15, 2018; Ending Date: November 11, 2018
Students complete 16 classes of instruction at home, taking tests and passing in assignments via an online learning system. The remaining 32 classes would be held on-site at DGU at Destination Dog (Franklin, MA) on the following dates: July 31 to August 5, 2018, September 4-7, 2018, November 6-11, 2018. 39 internship hours need to be completed (in your area) between the end of the first in-house week and the beginning of the last in-house week.
Distance Course material includes Online courses, BSMT handbooks, Anatomy workbook, and Anatomy Textbooks.
Requirements: Computer with speakers, high speed internet (ex. cable) and email access. Students must be able to access classes on-line.
12-Month Certification Program
Classes are in person and will be held one weekend per month for 12 months from 9:00am to 5:00pm

A 39 hour internship is done in your area between March and August.
